Of course not, why would they continue using a unresponsive and slow to open browser?

Can we infer from your post that it was slow and unresponsive at some stage, and that you agree it was, and you trying to say its better now?

You can't even open a bookmark or a bookmark folder in new window/tabs and there are 12 extensions in the store. Why on earth would you use something that doesn't even offer basic functionality, even after how many updates?

I have used it since the 10th Anniversary Windows update, and it still sucks. The only extensions worth a damn are Evernote, Adblock and LastPass. Bookmarks are still a joke.

Since the Anniversary update it's definitely more stable and more responsive. Opens fast here at work on a circa 2008/9 Core 2 Duo PC.

You can shift click on it to open in a new tab. The only extension I really need is ABP/Ublock Origin. It's got reading view build in (you need a extension to get that in Chrome) and also Cortana gives me coupons if I visit a shopping site (again you need a Chrome extension for that)...

Only complaints I have is that it takes ages to close and to sync my reading view/bookmarks across pc's is a PITA because Admins can turn the feature off etc. It should work like Chrome independent from the OS... I have since given up trying to sync my bookmarks to my work PC.

Good heavens when the only good thing MS has to say about their k@k new browser is that it supposedly consumes less battery power than Chrome or FF then you know they're clutching at straws.

I'm not sure why they still even bother developing their own web browsers.

How else are you going to download a proper browser after you installed Windows?
 
If all you do is docs then using Chrome is cool but if you need your RAM for running VMs then Chrome sucks and Edge wins and so I thought, my work PC(Windows 8.1) doesn't get shut down but coming back the next morning, Chrome is unusable unlike my laptop which allows me to just continue with Edge from wherever I left of.

Need to get IT to upgrade my workstation to Windows 10 but I doubt it will make a difference to Chrome.
 
A client of ours claimed to "need" Chrome for work purposes because a marketing site she wanted to use didn't support IE. We advised against it, knowing what a RAM whore Chrome can be, but thought we'd humour her just to be able to prove to her why she couldn't have it.

Installed it, ran the page - and it only used 60MB. Ran it in IE (which did support the page in compatibility mode), and it used 140MB. We were all a bit stunned. Not sure if it was because it was in Citrix, but it's still an anomaly.
 
Are you still unable to right click and reload in edge or did they come to their senses yet?

These are the options available when right clicking on a new tab or an existing tab:

Reopen closed tab
Close other tabs
Close tabs to the right
Refresh all
Duplicate
Move to a new Window
Pin
