Microsoft Edge beats Chrome and Firefox in battery performance

Well EDGE is useless so it doesnt surprise me that they use no resources
 
And THAT'S the best thing you can say about a browser ... that is has great battery life! Who the hell cares ????

People that don't achieve their laptops' claims about battery life, like me...

And I can confirm, Chrome basically cuts my laptop's battery life by half.
 
Not using a browser at all uses even less battery life, which isn't much of a step down from Edge.

Have the two of you even tried to use Edge?? If not then there is no point in making unfounded statements such as these.

I agree, why are we rehashing old articles?

It is for the sole purpose of giving the anti Windows brigade something to post about?
 
Firefox running on my Ubuntu Gnome laptop, gives me the best battery life.....well, can't really compare, because no Edge on Linux.
Firefox even works better on Linux, it's the best. Like Microsoft has something in it's code, suppressing Firefox from not working optimally.

Of course I forced myself to use edge for 1 week.


What a fcking helbound disappointed that was, nothing comapres to Chrome/Google

Unless your just average joe. But for serious power users edge is nowhere.

Internet Explorer 11 is better than Edge...
 
Problem is the longer battery life will just unnecessarily prolong the shame of using a Microsoft browser..

When last did you try and use Edge? Last year? or now?

Why are all the Win 10 users that I show that Win 10 still has IE 11 or that I install Chrome for so grateful? Its because they have been struggling with unresponsive and slow Edge for months...
