Microsoft.NET

I have recently switched to Windows 7 and when i want to download Freemake Video Converter it must download Microsoft.NET. it downloads but wont install on my ASUS Laptop.
I have used this programme for a few years on my old XP desktop without any problems.
Anyone out there able to provide a solution. Microsoft maintain that as it is OEM software they wont help.

Which one does it download? 3.5 or 4?

If you open up control panel then programs.
Click on the Turn on Windows Features on.
Scroll down the list that appears then select .net framework 3.5.1
Then click on OK
It should then install.
