Microsoft open source blogging tool

Wow. A blogging tool. Well done Microsoft, you are really leading the edge in open software releases.

Releasing a blogging tool is like the Linux community releasing /etc/init.d/rc as a free tool, toting it's awesome features.

Is this not the same M$ that are throwing their toys out of the cot about Open Source :) ... I kinda remember reading this week Remond stating the Open Source is more expensive than proprietary closed sourced software ...

It's worth more if u ask me....but even if u take the running cost of open source into account it must go quite far to turn out more expensive..

Bite me. Next year I am adopting a policy of not pandering to Internet Exploder's problems with any websites I build. In fact I will add a script that detects if IE is being used and re-direct the user to a page where they can choose from FireFox, Safari or Chrome as browser choices before they can get into the site.

If more webmasters did this think of all the time Open Source developers would save on not having to figure out why stuff doesn't work in MS's pathetic browser.

Isn't that a bit cut your nose to spite your face?

I agree. What about all the corporate people that has to conform to the company policies and are not allowed to install any other browsers?

A corporate policy that mandate IE is like requiring your staff to keep their windows open at all times (including nights when they are not there).

But at least he will feel good about himself :)

LOL - I feel his pain. But imagine what pain a company like Amazon shareholder's would feel when their web site rejects IE users ... poof gone is 80% traffic. :)
