Microsoft Outlook PST File

Hi guys

Need some help if possible, this might be a dumb question but the replies will answer that for me if it is

We have a mailbox set up and running as normal but the problem is that we cannot delete or empty the 'deleted items', apparanetly its due to a corrupt email, firstly it started when we couldnt delete any mail from any folder in the mailbox, that is now working fine but still the problem of the 'deleted items' persist.
I thought of importing the *.pst file into a new setup and leaving out the 'deleted items' for import, basically importing everything else but that folder. But is there a proper way of getting rid of that 'deleted items' folder and setting up another one without losing any emails?

Run scanpst.exe

I did scanpst twice, repaired it and still we got the initial error on all the folders but then afterwards it worked fine, just left with that problem in the 'Personal Folders' list 'deleted items'.
You try to delete any message in the 'deleted items' folder and it gives an error.
Just checked now again and i noticed that all the items in the folder are greyed out, the error: 'the messaging interface has returned an unknown error'

nope, just under 2GB

Ok, think the max is 2 GB for 2003 and prior, or u start getting missing emails.

Check again. Depends on what you call a gigabyte. There are various definitions and usages.

Ok, think the max is 2 GB for 2003 and prior, or u start getting missing emails.

2003 i think is 4gig. XP and below is 2g. i could be wrong.
