Microsoft rolls out the ability to run Android apps on your Windows 10 PC

Microsoft has announced that its upgraded Your Phone functionality is gradually rolling out to Windows 10 users across the world.

"We are excited to announce that the Your Phone apps feature which was highlighted during the August 5th Samsung Unpacked event is now gradually rolling out to General Public," Microsoft said in a blog post.
 
“Whether you need to quickly reply to a conversation, respond to your social posts, or order food, you can do it fast using your PC’s large screen, keyboard, mouse, pen and touch screen alongside your other PC apps,” Microsoft said.

Wouldn't it be faster if you just picked up your phone? :unsure:

They do with an emulator :)

Looks like you are correct, its nothing more than a remote screen. And here I was thinking the app would actually run under Windows (with some emulator)

Phone and PC must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

No it's not. I use it every day at the office to view a dozen or two SMSs on the PC. Very convenient when phone is parked somewhere else.

Check messages.google.com if you're on an android one device.

Agree with it being useful as well, accepting phone calls is the main reason I use it.
