I just have a couple of questions regarding the License keys we have for our company.

1.) We do have A couple of copies of Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 in our Action packs but I am not sure if they are Volume licenses or just single licenses. Is there a program that I can use to determine what type of license it is or can I send it to you for validation?
2.) I have tried to change the license keys on our XP machines but struggling to do so VIA the registry. I have tried to change the value of the oobe file but when trying to activate Im getting the “Windows is already activated message”.

Any help will be much appreciated.

1. Action Pack licence keys are the same as boxed retail product keys - in other words not volume licence keys.
2. Have you run: %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a and then selected Telephone Activation and then your product key there?

2. Have you run: %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a and then selected Telephone Activation and then your product key there?

Thanks

I have run that but it says that "Your copy of windows is already activated"

1. Open Registry Editor
2. Continue to expand folders until you reach the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\Current Version\WPAEvents
3. Right-click on the OOBETimer entry and then click Modify from the menu that drops down.
4. The OOBETimer value just needs to change - it doesn't matter what it's changed to.
5. Click OK
6. Close Registry Editor
7. Run %systemroot%\system32\oobe\msoobe.exe /a
8. Choose the Yes, I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows radio button and then click the Next button.
If you see that a message telling you that Windows has already been activated, then you didn't change the OOBETimer value correctly and should try changing it again.
9. Click the Change Product Key button
10. Enter the new product key and follow the rest of the onscreen instructions.

Hope that helps.

I have changed and edited the values but still get the same message.
