I've been waiting for this for sometime now! I am mostly waiting for the controls that is shipped with this!

One thing that I have noticed is that all the controls that is shipped with it, is open source and occording to the license, it can be used as you like!

Being out a while now.. they must still be trying to claw in the devs. Nice hype. Somewhat okay product...

When I was at DevDays last year I was pretty impressed with what they promised for V2.0

Lets hope this takes off nicely and hurts flash a bit.

I installed silverlight so many times onto firefox. Then everytime i went to a site that used it, it said i dont have it installed...typical microsoft software

:eek: Microsoft + Open Source?

*Does not compute*

MS answer to FLEX, but lagging behind it.

Adobe is pushing the flex stuff, MS the silverlight and google is pushing javascript (via Chrome). All of them are aimed to provide an "online applications". So far silverlight has been the least impressive [no linux support? wtf MS?]. And flex has been more impressive than Javascript with almost everything, but mostly with back end integration. Now with googles vision of multithreaded Javascript it makes the future of online look very interesting.

Call me paranoid, but:
MS = bad
MS trying to woo open source = bad, very bad, something fishy going on in Blamers study!

They do just give something (especially code) away, there WILL be a catch...

my bad

Strange, I am looking at the Silverlight content using Firefox...
Hmm.. yeh sorry shouldnt blame firefox, but in ubuntu gives me this message "Microsoft Silverlight may not be supported on your computer's hardware or operating system." So, probably boils down to ubuntu not supporting it(yet)?
but dont trust them microscum, opensource can coupe alright without them sticking their filthy fingers into it

Silver who??? Oh another Microslop solution. Is it as tacky as windoze media player?

hey wmp is the bomb. i resisted for a long time, but it is the best on the market. i might sometimes use power dvd for vcds, but apart from that... WMP FTW!
