Mid-range smartphone showdown

As high-end smartphones continue to improve their features, their prices continue on an upward trajectory.

Flagship smartphones from leading brands can now cost upwards of R30,000 - a figure that many South Africans are unwilling to pay.

no point in listing Xiaomi - we can't get it here. Might as well list Oneplus, oppa and all the rest too.

I Iought mine on a Daily deal a few weeks back.

They're supplied by MIA. Incredible Connection stocks them too.

Grey import perhaps, but local warranty nevertheless, and they are Icasa certified.

I wish I waited for the Note 7.

I have the A30. I prefer One UI to Miui thou, Amoled is awesome & I have gotten use to always on display. The speaker sucks on the A30.

The Note 7 is an awesome all rounder.Looking forward to Xiaomi's new Android One devices.

Could have sworn I just read an article by GSM arena

Where are the reviews myBB?

For example, word is the A50's camera is miles behind the P30 lite in quality

Lets see some hands on tests and comparisons

MIUI is quite invasive to be honest, I don't like it much at all. I actually miss the vanilla Android experience that comes with the Nokia range.

The camera apps that come with the Nokia phones are hopeless though. Xiaomi has a great camera app.

Which one out of the lot is best. My brother got the P30 Lite over the weekend, rather nice. Takes a very good picture and video.
