Hi all,

I need to help a friend migrate his (security cctv, etc) applications with all the data from 1 laptop to another (different specs).

I thought of uninstalling all the drivers on laptop #1, then cloning the hard drive, and inserting that cloned hard drive into the new laptop.

He says he has the installation cd's for all the software, but he will need the data copied across.

Are there any software products that do these sorts of things?

What other options do I have?

What version Windows is he running? 7 or higher, just clone it and it will be fine, no need to uninstall any drivers...

Yeah he has windows 7 on the old laptop. Will there be licensing issues since hardware has changed?

Also, what are good clone programs to use?
