why ,you only need an oxygen free clamp .by using a cheap aluminium ferrule with an incorrect crimper eish ,thats a tiktok thing ,by using ferrules you have no clue of the current capacity of the made in china ferrule you also introduce a 3rd material into the equation ,some use them some dont .Shouldn't you use ferrules when there is a screw connector that is not using a clamp design?
precisely .From the photograph, it looks like ferrules were used, but it does not help if they were crimped with a sidecutter. Maybe @Mike Hoxbig can show us a photograph of the crimp...
also decent ,not made in china C/B ,have a proper clamp design ,not just a random screw and maybe threaded hole ,ive seen some screws that actually fall into the wire section before even at torqueShouldn't you use ferrules when there is a screw connector that is not using a clamp design?

also C E .and CE are not the same thing ,note the spacing ,smile and wave and walk awayShouldn't you use ferrules when there is a screw connector that is not using a clamp design?
chainlink?
weakestlink?
believe you me ,when Billy crimps something like a ferrule and cable there's f.....all oxygen left in the joint anywherelink?
90s shouldnt cause an issue .if you have a lightning strike on a 90bend maybe .View attachment 1567304Can 90 degree bends cause cable failure like the burnt ones? I see some if not most of my cables on my Solar installation was done like this. I like the slow bends more.
Thanks, this makes sense. You want the MCB to trip before the wires overheat, hence the smaller MCB. Ideally you'd want a 50A breaker and cables to match on the 8kw output
thats very neat .no issue,at least it doesnt look like a 12 year old sitting on a bucket wired it .edit : sorry MrMike .So these bends are acceptable? Does it not cause severe deformation of the cable? I've wondered about the possible impact of electron flow in the copper wire if it is bent like this.View attachment 1567310
ok thanks so I don't have to worry then sheesh.not gonna lie. It did bother me for quite some time.thats very neat .no issue,at least it doesnt look like a 12 year old sitting on a bucket wired it .
ive never really looked in the regulations about that ,when i get a gap ill have a look for you.cables have a minimum radius but never really looked at panel wiringok thanks so I don't have to worry then sheesh.not gonna lie. It did bother me for quite some time.
Perfect. So these bends are acceptable? Does it not cause severe deformation of the cable? I've wondered about the possible impact of electron flow in the copper wire if it is bent like this.View attachment 1567310
i dont see any additions to this ,or changes ,ok thanks so I don't have to worry then sheesh.not gonna lie. It did bother me for quite some time.
