Mind-Blowing Hyperreal Paintings.

These are unbelievably good. But Im sure that some of these artists are painting from photos.
 
I would like to see attempts using either real models, or just out of the head. Now that would be amazing. Not that these paintings arent...

Oh, I don't think that using real models would be a problem for these people, or even art from their own imaginations. Using "real models" however, would require someone to remain in a fixed position for hours perhaps even with artificial lighting to keep shadows fixed. Easier just to take a photo and work off that for everyone involved.

I dont mean live models, real models, as in fruit, marbles, whatever...

That would be called still life :p

Point still remains though: the need for fixed lighting when a simple picture would be vastly more practical, especially for "high definition" art :p

Which invariably makes it all the more difficult.Having the real objects in front of you is easier.
