I'm usually on ts.specternetworks.com as Bananana. I don't go on when the GF and I play though. She sits right next to me...it's just weird :D.

Whats the minigames option on creeperhost? I see you need credits to use it.

Porchrat if you are tech savvy at all have a look at installing a mod called optifine and fastcraft both will help with performance.

The server doesn't do too much heavy lifting but it may just help with your performance a little but not significantly

Already said Azanor is South African...

Fastcraft is in the DW20 pack, make sure to get the latest Optifine and it'll help massively clientside.

Playing on SSP is SIGNIFICANTLY more CPU intensive than playing on a server, it's night and day so I don't know what you're talking about that it won't help much. In singleplayer 75% of CPU usage is the server running, clientside and rendering isn't that intensive.

see what happens when i a) dont read the messages properly and
b) dont know my facts before talking lol

totally forgot about the fact that MC creates a "server" for SSP

its games that are played in Minecraft like spleef(not sure on spelling) which pay per hour or client cant recall

I just ignore all the extra blocks etc that the mods bring to the game, but I read that the DW20 mod changes the ore spreading on the map and where you would usually get iron blocks in vanilla won't be the same in DW20 which is a drawback according to me...

But if I can play on a server that actually has real South African people on it, I am willing to change my opinion and just play the darn mods :-)

Vanilla ores are the same, modded ores in distinct bands... Mine at 12 and at 40 to cover all ores.

Search "ore" in NEI hover over the one you're looking for and hit "R", will show you the distribution graph

Still new to modded but been playing Skyfactory & some FTB infinity so pretty keen on getting in on some local modded server action.
Funny enough been watching Direwolfs Season 7 Lets play this week.
 
How is everyone finding the lag on the server? Played for about 20 mins, Friday afternoon but the animals were very laggy.
 
Game runs pretty good, had minimal lag, seen worse on local hosted servers, just been a bit lonely so far. Will post my location if someone wants to come visit.

So no animal/mob lag for you? We planned on playing last Friday, but plans tend to change some times. Will visit you when we're both online.

I joined but i have spent about 30mins swimming trying to find decent size of land. Found a small island and logged off there... the amount of water and lack of land there is a bit annoying. if i can get TP'ed to a decent size plot of land i will be happy

Yeah, the spawn is really ****. Are there any trees left on that small piece of land? I should put a chest there with boats.

or just change the spawn location? :) /setworldspawn will(should) set the spawn point at the location you standing
