I'm not sure if this is supposed to be in the Mac or hardware section, also not sure if this has been answered before, but after googling it I have not found any answers or recent threads.
Basically I have bought a new Unibody Macbook (my first mac) which has one of the new mini displayports as opposed to the older mini-dvi ports, and I was hoping to connect this straight to my tv using RCA plugs (red, black and yellow plugs?). Its an older tv, so nothing fancy except for the RCA plugs and co-axial ofcourse.
If this is possible and you know how, please could you explain in plain english (i'm somewhat of a noob
) and also where to find the cables needed and roughly the prices I should expect. I am aware that mac has tv boxes for this very reason, but would like to avoid such high costs.
Thanks
