My own brother was asked if he want to make money, he join Mti, then ask me to join, I google and found this here. Every time I tell my brother about MTI he cannot believe it. He even ask MTI if they are a scam, and quest what they said. I am afraid greet came to him, with their super bot.

Lot's of impassioned responses to this one. I'll go for concise: Altruism and a fervent desire to eliminate corruption appear to confuse you, and therefore you will never understand how people like us can exist.
It's almost heartbreaking to realise just how foreign of a concept 'altruism' is to many people.
I don't know what happened in their lives for them to get to a point where they can't even begin to think that someone could put up a fight to protect someone who might be a complete stranger.

To be fair, I've seen and given a lot of opinions, but they are opinions arrived at by facts not irrational beliefs.
Edit - ... and utter incredulity at people's gullibility and selfishness and lack of capacity for even basic deductive reasoning.
Also.. They always get hung up on one or two people who might insult them and therefore anyone that questions mti is insulting them.

I specifically avoid insulting people and only ask for proof... But apparently that is insulting also.

Hahaha, there it is, hissing and spitting.

You have no idea of who I am as person yet you have plenty opinions based on your imagination. How on earth do you want me to take your opinions about MTI serious? Are your opinions also based on your imagination?

I'm too busy to waist my time with people like you.

God bless and goodbye!
No imagination necessary, we know exactly who you are: someone seeking attention on a thread where you know you are not going to get any sympathy for your blasé and dismissive comments and no real desire to contribute anything, but to disrupt. We also call people like you trolls. Trolls comes and goes and so do Ponzi’s.

Your brother must be a very trusting person if he asked MTI if they are busy scamming him.

It's always the best, that people trust the opinions of a "business" with a vested interest in itself to be honest, but assume regulatory bodies are just trying to be mean,or more hilariously against them because they are "disruptive"when they tell people to be cautious

Right?
The irony is that there was an MTI statement that came out that accused people of saying MTI is a scam purely because of the industry that MTI finds itself.
And yet, they and their proponents are all too happy to spread the conspiracy that the regulators, the banks, whoever, are just trying to steal average Joe's crypto.

C'mon people, be better than that.

Yeah don't think this is the same Lourens , our one is Lourens Johannes de Lange. I do see from his LinkedIn profile that he practiced for a whole 9 months as a financial consultant for Liberty in 2001.
Nope. Pretty sure he's an electricians currently living in Johannesburg (according to his flickr profile). He's into photography and does wedding photos in his spare time. In his WhatApps profile pic he's wearing sunglasses and a hat.

(I think everyone else here was looking for his name plus something to do with MTI, instead of looking at his other posts to help narrow down the candidates.)

That'll teach me for not looking closer at the LinkedIn page. I followed the photography angle which didn't get me to LinkIn. Life coach plus deeply religious I think is a good fit for the MTI target demographic since he already believes lots of things without requiring any evidence, and is good at persuading others to believe the same.

I think that the FSCA and SAPS/Hawks should now just shut this lot down. I do believe that there is overwhelming cause and evidence from both FX Choice as well as the the FSCA's own initial investigations to clamps down now before even more people are sucked into this Ponzi. If they need SARS and the SARB to chime in then great also.

I believe that this thread has achieved what it set out to do which I can only assume to be to bring it to the attention of the authorities and press, as well as to warn people and show them the light - those that want to. Those that have not seen the light, must surely be blind with greed and must just learn their lesson the hard way, I have no sympathy with them, only their families that will inevitably suffer with them as a consequence.

I still believe that we will see some closure to this thing early this coming week when people take out money to pay for their monthly expenses, added to those that have come to their senses and 'cash in'.

The payment filtering doesn't seem too complex. The wallet where all the payments seem to originate is down to 33.84040531 BTC as of now, down from ~131 BTC on Friday. It actually hit zero briefly before new deposits got swept up. I would guess the Thursday transfer of 385 BTC into two new wallets of 200 BTC and 185 BTC will be profit taking by the ringleaders (I doubt any regular MTI members had accounts that large). Saturday night withdrawal was ~195 BTC so people are getting out. Ship has likely sunk.

I expect people will start seeing delays in payments now until new deposits arrive, so I don't think it'll take long before word gets out and deposits disappear. Unless maybe they use another wallet for some of the transactions? Seems unlikely given the master wallet total incoming funds is now at ~14562 BTC so I think they filter everything through a single wallet (easier to code for Johann), so will make tracing of the big payouts much easier, not that it'll help much.

That's a staggering amount of money people have put in. Seems like maybe the trading pool size wasn't a completely made up number, because that's about how much they claimed to have.

Nananana, nananana, HEEEYYYYeeeyyyyEEEYYYY, goodBYE!

And to think this guy is/was a life coach, according to his LinkedIn profile. Yeah, coaching friends and family to financial ruin maybe!

Better luck next time, SHILL.

I battle to believe this "big number" thrown around.

We know this scam has been successful, but we also know it has been a scam from day 1. As such, lying about total size makes perfect sense to lend additional "legitimacy".

I suppose we will never know the true numbers.
