Misleading opinions on MyBB -

I am a bit annoyed to hear that some people are receiving "benefits" for singing the praises of some ISP's on these forums. For one this is supposed to be an open forum with credible info and feedback on it - for opinions not to be skewed by indirect influence on members that comment here. Its almost like corruption - scratch my back and i will scratch yours... :mad: WTF

So because of one "benefit" you will mislead thousands...
 
Gary seems to be quite transparent about his support & benefits from OpenWeb. It's not as if it's some phantom who comes on here saying that they've recieved better service from ISP X than ISP Y and everyone should move over.
 
Its brand loyalty perception based on experienced. Different people have different experiences. Some people have good experiences, some people have bad experiences. Now because you dont like their opinion they shouldnt be allowed to? Or am I totally not understanding this thread?

totally agree - but this is what bothers me "It pays to be very outspoken about OpenWeb on this forum"

It pays to be outspoken anywhere where you feel like things are not as they should. This is hardly unique to this forum or the broadband industry. If you are having service problems and you complain.... and they fix it nicely. It just paid to complain... I dunno if you are taking that sentence too literally? The more the consumer complains, the more likely the company is to deal and fix the situation.

If you have a problem with this, then I really dont recommend you go see whats happening at hellopeter.com. A whole lot of people are being outspoken there...
 
You're expecting 'credible' feedback and information on an open forum?

The difference is... I went and asked for that account. Mr. Beep never offered it to me out of the Blue.
If you snooze you lose, and if you are not willing to take the time to talk to your ISP then don't cry to us.
This thread smacks of mega jealousy.
OpenWeb is not the only company that I promote on this forum, and Mweb is not the only company that I lambast.
Loyalty has it's rewards.
Sour grapes is just sour grapes.
 
maybe I shouldn't hey... But it is like reading an article about how wonderful a car is when the author was given same by the manufacturer... :)

Please can I have an uncontended ADSL account - the same that Garyvdh has. Please may I confirm the service, as in Garyvdh words:

Thats a bad analogy, as it implies vested ownership. Gary is more like a proud car owner letting people what he thinks of his car compared to other cars. Which is fair. You cant exactly expect someone who has driven a Volvo their whole life to give a good article on a Fiat. You expect a Volvo owner to give an experienced opinion on a Volvo. Just like you would expect someone who has used OpenWeb to know more about OpenWeb than Mweb users.

Hey

I have got one too !

I signed up for the OpenWeb 384 special 4 months ago... I pay R298 a month for it and I get full speed 24 / 7 !!! Woohooo.
It also has no draconian FUP. I did pay more for it than the standard OW Lite uncapped.

But, I do not have a Volvo and I have never driven a Fiat.... does this post count then ?
