Well "part 1" was boring as hell, will go in with slightly higher or lower expectations?

Yeah don't get the hype either. I wonder if they bought those reviews. There have been better films in the series and they should have stopped at 3/4

Watched it tonight in an IMAX … seems the 3D options are only coming to SK later and I didn’t feel like waiting.

Yeah I got mixed feelings. Action sequences were a bit OTT even by MI standards, this time the entire WORLD is depending on Tom Cruise (maybe the next movie the whole Universe can depend on him), and the rest was a weird mix of character development which was too forced, too fast (in a three hour movie!), too cliched, or all of the above.

On the plus side I stayed awake through the whole thing and some other movies (like Avatar 2) put me to sleep. This just felt like the movie equivalent of a Big Mac burger: unhealthy but a guilty pleasure.

I wouldn't mind a MIB sequel that isn't made exclusively for children. It's such an awesome concept in terms of scifi possibility, and the current franchise is just wasting it.
