Mission : Impossible - Dead Reckoning (2023)
Being the second half of a 2 part film it felt like the exposition was rushed, but i liked it. The underwater scene and the special effects with the nukes were amazing. Also South Africa. Cool.
Sad to say goodbye to a franchise that has kept me entertained and been around my whole life. I am going to miss it. *salutes Tom Cruise*

This movie will still likely run at a loss. It's needs to make like R500m just to break even.
Going to be hard to justify spending R400m on a movie going forward.

Done & dusted, my thoughts:
My first bioscope/cinema experience in well over a year & this film was worth it to pop that cherry. A snip under 3hrs long but it does not feel it, film "pulls hard" right through. More than a few twists & surprises, you're kept guessing. I doff my hat to Tom Cruise, oke is a machine & at 62 years is still absolutely killing it!
The stunt scenes are proper, on-screen action in spades. The ending was surprisingly sentimental yet still (fairly) neatly wrapped up. There are so many callbacks & references to the franchise as a whole, this film is for the fans (from day one). Even SA was representing in all it's beauty.
My list of my fav MI films, top 4. I consider myself a bit of an expert™ on the topic:
