MMS goes head to head with TV

How would the advertisers pay for the GPRS costs for downloading the message ? I don't see how that is possible - I received one of these MMS adverts from Makro the other day and while I was impressed I can see it being a huge irritation when every company is doing it...

You don't get charged for downloading MMS's, only the sender is charged, as with sms.
 
I have received many spam MMS's from big "corporates" over the last few days, including Vodacom. When asking to unsusbscribe from their "spam" I simple get a "Sorry there was a technical problem, please try again later" message. :rolleyes:

Of course, I have on numerous occasions requested not to receive ANY ADVERTISING AT ALL from these corporates, yet they continue. Naturally now that there's a new company doing the MMS spam (Multimedia Solutions) all the rules are broken again!

Shame on you Vodacom and Nedbank. :mad:

Some of them use Bluetooth as well now I think.
