I recently received a letter from multichoice informing me of an increase in their subscription charges. The letter has a breakdown of all the charges i am paying for as follows:
DSTV premium bouquet : R222.60
Mnet : R276.40
My question is, how does multichoice justify the subscription for Mnet? Why is it so much more expensive than dstv and it's a single channel? In my opinion that figure is ridiculous. And mnet isn't all that good anyway... I rarely watch it. The same movies get repeated a few times on the mnet movies channels and the tv series are repeated on mnet series. As for sports, they are generally simulcast on Supersport... Frankly i could live without mnet. Mnet is also a locally broadcast channel. How can it be more expensive than the dstv subscription which has a large selection of international as well as local channels. I doubt the mnet subscription is inclusive of mnet movies and mnet series because that is the fee to get mnet on its own without dstv...
Is it perhaps possible to take the dstv bouquet without Mnet?
