I've heard recently that they don't split MNet anymore. I havn't confirmed it yet. Can anyone here confirm that?

Take your decoder to the Multichoice customer care centre. They should be able to test and tune it for you. Otherwise try a Multichoice accredited installer.

They Still do.
Kriek. Let's start with your first problem; tuning your TV to the M-Net decoder.
The Delta 9000 decoder does not have any output other than the coaxial output. So tune the TV to an unused lower UHF frequency. Switch on the "test signal" switch at the back of the decoder by pressing it upwards. Now by using a small screwdriver, carefully tune the small screw close-by the "test signal" switch until you can at least faintly see black and white stripes on the TV screen. When you do see the black and white stripes on the TV, tune the TV until you can get the stipes as sharp as possible. Save the channel frequency on the TV. Now your TV is tuned to the M-Net decoder. Switch off the "test signal" switch on the decoder.
Now to tune the M-Net decoder to M-Net. All settings assume that you are subscribed to M-Net and that the decoder is activated at the Multichoice side. On the face of the Delta 9000 M-Net decoder (not the remote) there are 3 buttons. To the far left is a red on/off button. To the far right are 2 buttons. The left one is the channel up button, usually in purple. The right one is the select audio channel button, usually in green. Now follow the following steps:
Switch the decoder off by pressing the on/off button.
Press and hold in both the channel up and select audio channel buttons, and then while holding in those buttons press the on/off button.
The number "1" should now be displayed on the decoder.
Press the channel up button until the decoder displays the number "7".
Now continuously press the select audio channel button until M-Net is shown descrambled on the TV screen. (Make sure it's M-Net and not CSN because only M-Net will save on ch 7.)
Press the channel up button to save the channel.
Press the channel up button again so that the number 8 is displayed on the decoder.
Again, contiuously press the select audio channel button until CSN is shown descrambled on the screen.
Press the channel up button to save the channel.
Now switch the decoder off and back on by pressing the on/off button.
M-Net should now be saved on channel 7 on the decoder and CSN on channel 8.
It could be that your decoder is broken though if none of the above works. Delta 9000 decoders tend to unexplainably break if they're not used in a long time. You should be able to pick up a second-hand ComCrypt 4000 decoder in the JunkMail/Cape Ads for anything between R50 and R200. Just call Multichoice to transfer the decoder in your name.
You should also note that M-Net will be switching off the analogue M-Net signal before November 2011. I'd wait for the release of the new DTT M-Net decoders. You will then be able to receive up to 8 M-Net channels.
Hope all this helps.

Thank you very much for the above info. My mother-in-law recently moved up from the cape to stay closer to her daughters. She brought her crusty old Delta 9000 decoder along. At first I thought it might not work because there may not be an analogue signal her in Centurion/Gauteng any more.
However, tweaking the decoder as per your instructions, at the time of this writing (March 2017) the M-Net analogue signal is still available. She's happy to still get access to M-Net at a not-unreasonable price.
Had to use a 1.6M red band UHF antenna (from Ellies) and point it North West to pick up the signal .

Hi guys, im usualy not one to ask, ill search for the answer till my fingers go blue, and they turned black a few minutes ago, anyway..
I recieved this old Mnet decoder from my parents, who I asked to have it turned on so that i can watch mnet from my flat, On their side all is well, multichoice has turned it on again and everythings peachy.
But... its one of those old 9000 series ones, it nolonger has a remote or a manual and I just cant get it working, What i remember from back in the day about how to set it up was somthing or other about finding the test signal.
At the back of my decoder theres this little switch that says "Test signal" so ive switched it on, plug the thing in to the tv and im searching for the test signal, those white lines on the black back drop right? but unfortunately im having no luck.
So if anyone can remember the steps or has a manual to one of these things, i would realy apreciate some help, a little guidance or other? I realy want to watch the rugby from home this weekend >.<
Cheers and Thanks
