Yeah, I use that one too. Works well when roaming.
I'm a new telkom mobile customer. All I have is basic <1gb mo nice deals. Is that normal? Also none of my deals can be activated. It worked once and then never again. Will give them a call tomorrow.
It's still on MTN I roamed yesterday. Maybe it will change next year
There is no try - the roaming is seamless, you won't even know when you are roaming because the network will still indicate Telkom.
When I roam on MTN my phone says MTN (triangle) TelkomSA
Yes, that's because MTN roaming isn't seamless.
Fair enough. When I saw the notice I tried via manual selection to select Vodacom, but it wasn't available. It had a big red cross next to it. Same with Cell C

Hmm. So how would you know when you're using TM only data?
I'm happy streaming when on TM rates, but not when on AN rates...
I force TM for hotspot - easier to budget for, even if throughput may sometimes be lower.
EDIT: When does VC replace MTN as the roaming partner?
As far as I can see by the time this is all done and dusted in June (?) all data bundles will be TM only.

Pity- I've been enjoying the discounted TM only data- that differentiates TM from the rest.
If it becomes AN only, I don't think we'll continue to see the same level of discounts, night data etc.
