Okay,

So a a friend of mine who doesn't know how PC's work somehow got a malicious program called Mobogenie installed on his PC. What the program does is, every time a cellphone connects, this program works as a 3rd party to read the cellphone and copy movies and pictures and what ever the else data.

It's listed as a nasty virus, and had overridden quite a few functions. So, I uninstalled the program fairly easily, but now the computer can't seem to read any cellphone. When it is plugged in, it knows something is plugged in, but it can't use the phone.

Can anyone give me a solution to fix this?

Perhaps the virus was acting as the devices drivers? Try get the drivers for the device?

I think it was something like that. I tried installing the drivers from the phone at the time, and it didn't work.

I've tried with different cellphones and none of them work.

Especially if you do a virus scan and clean viruses off the system.
if they were malicious then you can guarantee your system ends up ****ed.
