Monitor advice pls

I currently have a 19" Sahara CRT monitor. I want to buy a new monitor but see that most CRT monitors are 17" and basically a thing of the past.

Please advise me on which 19" monitor I should buy that's good for gaming and general pc stuff. I don't want a widescreen and nothing smaller than 19".

Maybe a link to a sa online website would help as well.

But I'd go with a good brand like Samsung or LG when getting a new LCD.

BTW : the reason I say go WS, is cos the 19" lcd's usually top out at 1280x1024 which isn't a great res... whereas the decent 22" WS go to 1680x1050, and 24" go to 1920x1200.
 
Also just occured to me.. if you're looking for something for gaming, I'd suggest looking for anything with a 2ms response time.
 
I would definitely take a widescreen. 22" seems to be the popular choice these days, with the Samsung in the lead. Expect to pay between R2500 and R3000 incl depending on where you get it from. Acer has a 22" w for R2399 on sale but it has a 5ms response time.

I personally got a 24" screen after much thought. It's awesome, changes the world.
 
I've finally decided I'm getting a normal 19" 2ms monitor. The Samsung 932BF @ R2 400 doesn't look to bad. Any other suggestions?

I don't want a 22" :rolleyes:

My card can't handle it :o. Plus I like old games that don't support widescreen
