If the Spanish government said it had contact or evidence of aliens I wouldn't need to go look for it. It would be all over the news.

Like that time when the French government released their ufo files. They didn't say that aliens exist of course, just that there where recorded and documented cases of unknown flying things in the sky.

i have a book by Graham Hancock called The Mars Mystery and i once had the opportunity to speak to him, i must read the book again now.

Even if we have found ET, I do not think its a good idea for us to know. As humanity we are simply not ready to deal with the possibility of intelligent life, especially the really advanced type that can do interstellar travel, etc.

I think any advanced lifeforms will know this - hence they will not make contact. And where they had accidentally made contact, our governments have probably realised that the implications to reveal first contact it too big and maybe dangerous to even comprehend.

This is probably a debate for the philosophical section.

Speak for yourself, I am willing, able and eager to listen to any ET that drops in.
 
meeting an alien and having it alk at the UN would be so interesting to say the least.
