Aaah but we have Windows 7 now and AMD are gunning for Microsoft to make DX11 games.

but the performance gain from using dx11 (if there is any and its not just hype) will still be negated by the slower card.

There are a few dx11 games coming out this year, but obv u can still play these using dx9.0c/dx10

no need to upgrade until dx11 is widely adopted, and ur upgrade is actually an upgrade! (i.e. a faster card)

the 4890 is on LOAN from a friend until he gets a crossfire mobo so he can use a second card. So basically I am looking at buying a NEW graphics card. I am not thinking bout buying the 5770 anymore as it is slower than the 4890. What I was mad about in the first place is the priceing of the 5XXX series in general as I am looking to buy the 5850.

This is hardly a new trend, everytime something new comes out it is overpriced until the market becomes saturated.

well I'd say DX10 left and DX11 right... cause they always do that

but whats the point of comparing DX10 with 11... when your first point was that nobody used DX10?

My point was just that DX11 is going to be used unlike DX10 the very fact that you have game screenshots to compare so soon after the DX11 cards were launched makes me right and you... whatever you want to be
