MORE 5000 series PRICING MADNESS!!!!!

I'm running E6400, 4 hard drives, dvd writer and a 5850 on a 550w Vantec Ion2. The card uses 2x 6 pin power connectors.

I think DX10+11 will be used more, I think Vista just hindered the adoption of DX10 gaming, but with Win7 winning people's hearts I'm sure it'll work out.

Either way the 5850 and 5870 are good bang/buck cards just on FPS alone, but no point getting a new card if you already have a 4890 or something.

I have no GPU atm (well, if you can call a 7300 series a GPU) so I'm in need of something. The 5870 is about the same or lots better (depending on reviews) than the Geforce 285 and they're about the same price.

if all else fails and I can't get the 5 series I'll just settle on a GTX 275

edit: I meant the 5850 is faster than the 285, the 5870 is about the same price as the 285 + much faster. doh.

As far as I've seen the 5870 is doing really well against the GTX 295..I'm getting my 5870 within the next week. Plus the 5870's drivers are still weak and the 295 is a dual card. I think the 5870 is a tops card. :D 5890 Coming out this month too.
