What are your thoughts?

Most projects I have ever worked on where Angular is used tend to be a mess.

Angular developers are acutely aware that they're reflexively obtuse.

The first question to ask is does the project actually need angular... Most of the time it is no.

if they want to build an API driven SPA/website, then the answer is mostly yes (to angular, react, vue, etc)

Not limited to Angular.

You are a bad programmer, if:
  • You are arrogant enough to reject your co-worker/developer's opinion
  • You are not a continuous learner
  • You are not open to negative feedback
  • You learn frameworks & tools and not techniques
  • You do not track time taken to develop anything
  • You have no idea about the project/feature requirement
  • You just like your own tech stack
  • You don't have the etiquette towards the open source contributors
  • You are not good at handling edge/corner cases, (you are a "This code works", person)
  • You always try to prove yourself right
  • You do not love your programming

Many angular/react devs/projects turn to **** because people don't understand async, race conditions etc. They design and test and all works fine 95% of the time and the other 5% when "strange" things happen they ignore it. Cue 50k using the system and everything breaks.

Just fired a lady that did all of the list items as below:

6 months in and when I asked her how to do something she would still ask "where is that" or "how do I get to that part".
She also had no idea about race conditions which affected 98% of her code, would completely deflect any advice or info given and couldn't even reproduce a carbon copy of screens from an old system. To say she knocked 10 years off my life is an understatement.

No I didn't hire her, someone else did.
