NHL I was expecting way higher mileage at that price. What's the consumption gonna be like on an older 1 like that?Colour me impressed. High mileage like you mentioned but that’s a lot of car for the bucks!
That's not a lemon, a lemon is a car that gives problems brand new off the dealer floor.First time I've heard of a lemon Toyota, but I haven't really known anyone that owned the older Auris or the new shape 1 either for that matter
Okay fair enough. But quite a few major things happened to it, is why I mean. Haven't had those issues with my Japmobiles. That's not a lemon, a lemon is a car that gives problems brand new off the dealer floor.
The car had over 100 000 kms, no car is immune from having problems at some point in its life, not even a Toyota.
They do break, all the time, the only difference is that people are more tolerant of a Japanese car breaking on them, even more when it's a Toyota, no one goes on the internet to rant about a Toyota, they all suffer in silence, but God have mercy on us if a Renault, Peugeot or some Chinese car breaks, people will take it upon themselves to warn everyone not to buy the brand, create Facebook pages where horror stories are shared and all that.Okay fair enough. You really think it's that biased I don't really have trouble with mine but the Sentra is old and the Etios has been less than a yearThey do break, all the time, the only difference is that people are more tolerant of a Japanese car breaking on them, even more when it's a Toyota, no one goes on the internet to rant about a Toyota, they all suffer in silence, but God have mercy on us if a Renault, Peugeot or some Chinese car breaks, people will take it upon themselves to warn everyone not to buy the brand, create Facebook pages where horror stories are shared and all that.
Yes it is, people are generally biased towards their own cars or favourite brands. The number of Toyota Tazzes I have seen smoking on the roads is countless, but Toyota people will look at you funny if you drive an older VW or Opel. You really think it's that biased I don't really have trouble with mine but the Sentra is old and the Etios has been less than a year
Okay it makes sense to me that this could happen. Tbf my fiesta that I gave to my bro has not left him stranded besides a water pipe breaking. But other than that we have only owned any Toyota or Nissan in my life. You think the old stereotypes don't ring true anymore with say jap vs German vs USA cars?Yes it is...
Some generally do, there is no disputing that Japanese cars are generally reliable cars, mostly because they are naturally aspirated, with moderate power output engines, there is no fancy, unnecessary electronics that are just there to make your life miserable, so I will still point anyone with a modest budget towards the Japanese, not only are they reliable but they are easy to fix when they break.Okay it makes sense to me that this could happen. Made in IndiaHonda Jazz is missing from the list and that takes the pick imo.

The last Jazz is very nasty, the cost cutting is so blatant, the first and second one were solid cars.Made in India

where do they make the Fit? a colleague has one (NA, not hybrid) and it seems a good vehicle. not one I am considering but seems good. The last Jazz is very nasty, the cost cutting is so blatant, the first and second one were solid cars.

for some reason it surprised me when I found out Opel was German, they never struck me as.A colleague of mine used to have a Toyota, the number of times I had to help the guy when the car gave issues is countless, I drive what people would seem a very troublesome car, an Opel, not once has it left me stranded on the road.
this is something I have started thinking about recently on 2 accounts. 1 that I am an engineer but not a big hands on 1. 2 Japs simpler design should make it easier to understand. My personal feeling is that any car can be troublesome, we mitigate this by having the right knowledge about the car, because the better you understand a car the easier it would be to maintain it properly.
What categories do you box people in and what do you generally recommend to each box? Most of the time when there is a horror story it is usually a compatibility issue, someone bought a wrong car.
Certainly not from India looking at the quality, will check.where do they make the Fit? a colleague has one (NA, not hybrid) and it seems a good vehicle. not one I am considering but seems good.
Someone who is well off, has a car allowance wanting to buy a "troublesome" car, let's say Alfa, because it has the reputation, let them be, they will probably be able to take it for services at the dealer and they won't mind to take the knock on resale, just load it onto the next contract. What categories do you box people in and what do you generally recommend to each box?
well put sir!Someone who is well off, ............................ , just a car with all the basic necessities.
Wait. How old are you? I need a reference point here. You're either dumb, or young.for some reason it surprised me when I found out Opel was German, they never struck me as.
A Honda fit is a jazz rebranded for the other countries that neighbour SA. It's the same car.where do they make the Fit? a colleague has one (NA, not hybrid) and it seems a good vehicle. not one I am considering but seems good.
