Yeah, I dunno. I'm only gonna do half your home work for you. But that may be fishy. The other one I posted looks legit.

As far as the engine goes, it's the same 900t that's in nearly every clioIV on the roads and there's millions (or it looks like) of them out there.

That 900T is used in the Clio, Captur, New Micra, Smart ForTwo and ForFour just to mention a few cars. The engine itself was first introduced in 2012 if I am not mistaken and was co-developed by Renault, Nissan and Daimler. Pretty reliable if you ask me

Turbo on my wife's one blew at 28000km. R40k in parts from dealer with no additional damage. Invoice didn't include labour coats as it was warranty.

Stay away from small turbo engines OP, no matter what anyone says. Look for Cerato Hatch, Auris or an Opel Astra, mid sized hatches tends to be more comfortable due to longer wheelbase and longer track, they are almost sedan like.

The Ford Focus is another fine hatch, way ahead of many in terms of build quality and refinement, unfortunately it's a Ford.

Do you say this due to small turbo engines having apparent reliability issues? I am aware of some small turbo engines being prone to failure (Ford's 1.0 Ecoboost comes to mind), but surely not all of them are bad.

To be honest the only engine I trust with a turbo is a diesel engine, and not today's high performance twin turbo or quad turbo types, other than that a decently sized engine is much better in my opinion, having said that, in general a turbo is expensive trouble waiting to happen, it's even better if you buy the car new so that you can get rid of it before trouble starts, if you have R100k just stick with something that will never let you down and leave turbos to youngsters who have a lot of money to waste paying car installments.
