Motherboard recommendation.

don't think the socket 478 chipsets supported SATA 2 - might be wrong though.

btw - buycomputers has 478 mobo's

Thanks for the info......would it not be best to just go for a new board and chip?
 
Why does one have to buy a new mobo each time you want to upgrade to a new chip?
 
parts manufactured a month ago are already out of date. the age of computers can like to be upon us...
