MotoGP 2016

Exciting race at the start, which turned into a follow the the leader...

Yeah was thinking the same thing. Marquez was always going to win (he owns that circuit!) but we were robbed of a great scrap for 2nd with the crashes of Rossi, Pedrosa and Dovi. Credit to Pedrosa for taking responsibility. It looked like an unfortunate racing incident (and not brought about by some hare-brained overtaking attempt) but was still good to see him go seek out Dovi and apologise.

yep.

turn 1 and 11 claimed a couple of scalps yesterday. i was watching someone's speedometer, down the main straight they reach 300km/h and then have to get all the way down to 60km/h for the first corner, and iirc there's a little bump in the road there as well, which makes the back wheel lose a little traction and make them go in too hot into the corner, if they don't lose it all together.

Jorge to leave Yamaha. Its official. This mean Stoner is not returning to racing , at least with Ducati or Honda.

Interesting times then. Hopefully the seat can be taken by a talent like Maverick Vinales or Danilo Petrucci. I can't see a Moto2 rider coming in and filling it?

FP times from Barcelona. Lorenzo laying down the marker it seems.

Was an amazing qualy session. It looked all sewn up for Lorenzo and then Rossi came from nowhere to eclipse him. As if that wasn't enough tension, Marquez was behind Rossi and track and a tenth and a bit up on him (without Rossi realising, who was celebrating further down the road!). In the end, it he lost out in the final split and stayed third. Should be an amazing race! Watch for Lorenzo to try hit the front early and stretch away, but he won't have it all his way.

Just watched the rebroadcast. Great stuff!

It's gonna be a cracker!

What a cracking start...would have put down money Lorenzo would have taken Rossi early. Well done, old man...22 laps left.

Forza Vale!!!!!!!!!
In other news, a Saffer, a Brit and that Italian man... Spanish motorcycling nervous breakdown in three... two... :D
