MotoGP 2016

Hardly any Friday running at Phillip Island due to torrential rain with more forecast for the rest of the weekend. Apparently it's predicted to be a wet race. Not that Phillip Island needs rain to provide entertainment. Who can forget last year's race. One of the greatest MotoGP races ever, unless you're a seagull.

Certainly not a classic like 2015 but enthralling nonetheless. Really glad for Cal Crutchlow. Excellent ride from him to stave off Rossi. Would love to see him get a factory ride at some stage.

Well he is 30 already, so time is running out.

Great race by the top 3. Can't wait to see Vinales on a Yamaha next year.

How insane was the Moto3 race. Some of the worst crashes I've seen in a long time. Well done Binder, deserved world champion. Pity Darrin couldn't get onto the podium as well. But well done for fourth.

Great stuff Dovi!! Ninth different winner this season in MotoGP. Don't even think there have been nine different winners in the last nine years in F1!

Also a fantastic comeback ride from Iannone from his back injury until he went down. That Ducati in a straight line, can not get enough of it. Lorenzo again fails to impress and lucked into his podium. Really hope he pulls finger next year on the Ducati.

+1 for all of the above... except the Lorenzo part, I hope he goes to Ducati to die.

Who watched the Moto3 race? Holy schit

I'm a staunch Ducati supporter so I hope he comes good for the sake of the team (agree with you though, individually, I couldn't care less about him).

That Moto3 race was manic! Just glad no one was seriously injured.

Rossi must be ruing his retirements this year.

He doesn't crash out of the lead at Assen and finishes at worst 3rd. 16pts
Taking in to account his clutch troubles at the US GP, he doesn't fall and finishes 6th. 10pts
He doesn't bail in Japan and finishes 2nd, behind Marquez. 20pts

He'd be leading the championship by 4pts heading in to the final round. . .

Good to see Darryn Binder scoring some points. He has kept his head on while everybody around him has gone down in the past two races. Great sign of growth as he was the one falling all too often earlier in the season.

no use crying over spilled milk....

if Marquez didn't come off the last two races then your above theory doesn't work anymore....; or
if rossi just won every single race from the start, he could've been champion by now....

this year marquez was just better than everyone else, he is a great rider, but not the best... he's lack of fear and him just throwing caution to the wind sometimes pay off, this year it did... from what I understand (because I didn't watch) last year it didn't.

Eh?

Simply pointed out how much closer this could've been. No need to get funny.

Eh?

Simply pointed out how much closer this could've been if a lot of other things happened as well. Trying to pin it on Rossi's woes isn't really painting the whole picture is it?

I didn't mean for it to come across as it obviously did. Sorry. Chill swaer.
