MotoGP 2019

Brad Binder showing a good turn of speed in Moto2. Third in FP1 and first in FP2.

Racing in Mugello this weekend, home of Ducati. They will be desperate to put one over Marquez and will frankly need to if they are to remain in the title hunt. Can't wait to see those Bologna Bullets down the main straight. Think last year they were hitting 350km/h

Would be awesome if Ducati could get a win, they've been barely hanging on as MM93 scorches away in the lead. If he hadn't crashed a couple races ago it would be even worse

Yep. Dovi is officially the fastest man in history on a bike on a closed course track after clocking 356.5 km/h down the main straight.

Only able to watch the race now. What a race, my God! Those bikes, three abreast into turn one at 350km/h. Pity it was the wrong Ducati from a championship perspective but so happy for Petrucci. And a word for Alex Rins. If that Suzuki had 20 more bhp, he'd be fighting with Marquez right now. What a brilliant rider!

He was so close tho.... And it's great to see how far Honda have come at such fast tracks
But poor Jorge Lorenzo still not even close in any of the races.
Interesting how riders make a difference in MototGP compared to F1 where you can probably have any two drivers in the Mercedes and still have a 1-2 finish.

Exactly - my brother who isn't into MotoGP but is into F1 was saying this as we watched yesterday ...

Dovizioso only 1.2secs off fastest lap on DTM race debut

Ducati's Andrea Dovizioso proves competitive on his DTM debut at Misano, finishing just outside the points for Audi

Ducati MotoGP rider Andrea Dovizioso left a strong impression on his car racing debut after finishing 12th in the DTM round at Misano.

Making a one-off appearance as part of the Audi Sport team – which owns the Ducati company – Dovizioso got right into the mix of the race with battles against more experienced four-wheel racers.

He found more speed in the second race and was running in the points. Unfortunately he spun off while closing in on 8th place and finished last (15th)

And you have to love DTM's Youtube channel. You can watch the full races from onboard Dovi's Audi.

Brad Binder was 9th in FP1 and 11th in FP2 for Moto2 but less than half a second in both sessions. Hopefully he can find some good race pace and finally mix it with the front runners.

Fabio had a mental Q1 and Q2.... so happy for the chap to get pole. Looks like Dovi and Vale are struggling a bit. Tomorrow should be good

Lorenzo spoiled what may have been a fine race but his accident pales in comparison to Can Oncu's wrecking ball in Moto3.

I wonder if there were more retirements and crashes in this race than all of the 2019 season thus far.
