Binder and Miller looked like they were one gear short.

I had a gander at the results PDF and its down to how it goes about being a missile. I think the Ducs have a significant advantage of traction and acceleration onto and down the straights, but the top speed differences aren't that great. In fact, Pecco must be running lower gearing. Mir had the slowest bike all weekend (339 in the race), Zarco hit 350 in warmup.

Sample of race top speeds:

Pecco - 338 (346 in practice)
BB33 - 342
Zarco - 348
AM73 - 348
Mav - 343.9
Miller - 346
 
Loved every second of that. The sprint was like Moto3 on steroids.

This is going to be a cracker of a season (I say that every bloody year and so far, so good!).

Zarco was a sneaky farker!
 
Miguel Oliveira ruled out of this weekend's race in Argentina, with no replacement called up. So no Oliveira, no Marquez and updates are still due on Pol Espargaro and Enea Bastianini. Going to be a pretty forlorn looking grid if they're all not there.
 
With so many races this year (21 x 2) and many a week apart, there are going to be lots of races with injured riders missing from the grid.

Huge risk from a rider but also from a Bike perspective - are 2 bikes a weekend enough?

Have to disagree... SBK has been doing this for a while now, and that's not something we've seen at all.

Except that SBK have only 12 rounds this year and are spread apart by 3 weeks in most cases so not nearly as big a problem for them.

Twelve rounds, each featuring a sprint race and two feature races... That's 36 SBK races vs the 42 in MotoGP this year... and they've being doing it since 2019.

There are probably 4 guys missing the Moto Gp race in Argentina this weekend because the race is a week after the last one. The 'nearly' comment was unnecessary. Bye

Maaaaaan..... Gutted for Frankie Morbidelli, after the kak he's had to endure this race has seen him rediscover some for.. Would've been great to see him on the front row but glad he got 4th

Sprint in an hour. Wonder how long this sprint schit will last. I love it, but guys are gonna get hurt and bikes are gonna get broken...
