MotoGP 2024

Never thought I'd say this about Mugello, but dullest race of the year?
Moto3 was good as usual and i suppose the result was good from a DWC perspective - Pecco closes in on Jorge and still nothing clear between Marc and him on a ride for next year

Another piece of the puzzle falls into place.

Marc now with the inside track to the second factory Ducati seat. What a mouthwatering lineup that is going to be!

Silly season of seasons I tell you, I did NOT see this one. Dovi did say in an interview on Italian Sky that the inside track is Ducati messed up with the negotiations so perhaps they lowballed Martin and he called their bluff

Although he is very very close to Aleix so taking a step back it does kind make sense

Yeah. And he's not stepping onto the worst bike anymore. He may be able to extract more out of it than Aleix or Maverick has been able to.

So it seems that the Pramac to Yamaha talks may be resurfacing now that they have lost the services of both Martin and Marquez. Without a top quality rider to lure or not getting factory spec 2025 bikes for next year, they could be tempted to become a satellite Yamaha team, where they would get the full spec factory machine. That would certainly be good all concerned I think. Ducati loses some of its hegemony, Yamaha gets a team to provide additional data and Pramac gets its wish of factory machinery. They may have to suffer for a season or two, but it seems that Yamaha may be slowly pulling themselves out of the slump (certainly compared to where Honda is currently).

What a silly season!!!!!

I would love to have Yamaha back with a satellite again - esp as you say they seem to be finding their way out of the Japan cup. Ducati's hegemony was becoming bad for the sport because they had rule over riders AND teams so its nice to see it breaking - if it does happen.

The silly season merry-go-round continues at full pace! Enea Bastianini and Maverick Vinales confirmed at Red Bull KTM Tech 3 for 2025.

KTM have announced an all-new line-up for Red Bull KTM Tech3 from 2025: Enea Bastianini and Maverick Viñales! In a new era for KTM’s MotoGP™ factory presence in 2025, the Red Bull KTM Tech3 squad will be re-branded and complement the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team in orange.

Bastianini and Viñales be equipped with full-factory KTM RC16 machinery in 2025 as part of a multi-year agreement and will form a Red Bull orange quartet with stars Brad Binder and Pedro Acosta in the adjacent set-up at Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.

Marc was the instigator - wait to what happens to Miller :cautious:?

There's talk that Miller may return to one of the four Honda seats, possibly in place of Juan Mir who is so disenchanted with life at Honda at the moment, that he's considering retirement!

I do feel for Mir and Marini - at least Fabio and Rins seem to be on an improving bike - Honda just seem stuck.

Someone who is slipping under the radar is Nakagami as well - with this merry go round he should be out of that ride in favour of someone younger - even if the bike is that terrible
