Hi guys,
What do you guys think about this phone. Yea its Motorola, but seems like they have a spark here that could turn into a fire!. I have been reading through allot of reviews and video reviews. Most of them compare this phone to the Nokia N900 and Samsung B7610/7620 Pro and Iphone 3GS and its older rivals with android v1.6. And about 80% of the reviews choose this phone over any of the others. Yes there are some issues with the current release, but its mostly with demo models for reviewers. (Some include, random program errors, battery back plate not fitting right, and camera not working correctly)

Any comments?

Does anyone have the HTC G1 or any other Android based phones that would like to comment?
 
If I hadn't purchased the N900, this would definitely be the phone for me. It looks really good from the specs and Android is a good OS, I predict tons of apps for it! I don't have an android phone myself but I've played around on a friends HTC Hero and I found it easy and fun.
 
There is just one issue with the Milestone i have seen, It only has 256mb or so of memory. But you can install a miniSD card.. But how many space does the Android apps take and can you install them on SD cards or any other location for that fact?

Im considering selling my Omnia to buy the Milestone.. :D

have the hero and magic.... used to have iphone and winmo devices.

android wins HANDS DOWN
 
I've also been keeping an eye on this phone, I think Moto may finally pull themselves out of a rut here. It's either this or the Sony Ericsson X10 for me, really want an Android phone.

Anyone know when local release may be?
 
im worried about the x10... SE are running about 6-12months behind in the android race. by the time we see the x10 next year, htc will have already released the dragon... which is their 4th gen android phone. and SE is releasing the x10 with android 1.6, which means they will only release android 2.0+ like 6 months later. seems like the new race will be htc vs motorola vs other jap manufactures
 
The X10 has been delayed again i think..

Im also getting tired of winmo devices.. fun at first, but i want something new to play with.. :D
 
go get a hero !!!!

and within a couple weeks htc is releasing android 2.1 for hero WITH google navigation
 
The hero and Milestone specs are very close.. Cpu is almost the same, memory is almost the same (guess the 256mb ram en 512mb rom is generic for android?). Though, i like the Milestone look more plug the nice big screen! :D
