Mount & Blade

I played one of the early release versions - hilariously fun and very different.
 
It looks quite good, will give it a bash, i see its only a 380MB download for the latest client :)

but u still have to pay not very much though.Download is free but u can only play till level 7 in game world after that either u have to start with a new character or u have to buy a key from tailworlds.com

When is the last time you were given a horse and lance and told to go kill some peasants?! :)

Really a great game.
 
Indeed, I have downloaded some mods for the game as well, tremendous fun, I have downloaded the Star Wars Caldaria mod, Battlestar Galactica, Eagle and the Radiant Cross as well as a demo version of a Fallout mod one guy is making. There is also a graphical enhancement pack that I downloaded that make the game look absolutely breathtaking, with new textures for everything in the game world. On top of that, there is also a HDR mod, adding some awesome lighting effects as well. Really an addictive game to say the least, and nothing is better than riding your horse into battle with your sword swinging away or with your lightsaber on a speeder bike in the star wars mod :D
 
This is a can't miss game. The best game ever, beating all high budget games like Oblivion, Gta, Crysis, AC etc. And only $10, R90.

And remember, it's made by 2 persons, a husband and wife.

Visually, not the best, but download Graphical Enhancement, SoftHDR, Polished Buildings and Panoramic mods, and prepare for a stunning experience.

And the combat is awesome, I played the beta version for 2 years, and I'm not even near tired. Now I'm just waiting for the Lord of the Rings mod, called The Last Days.

EA, you should be ashamed. Everyone, support this Indie, buy it.
 
Did anyone play the Hegemony mod? Looks nice, with elephants, Greeks, Romans, Spartans and it is only 60mb.
 
An multiplayer expansion has been announced, which will also include More strategic ai, hdr lighting, more diplomatic options.
 
that is like a dream come true,i can see it now 2 swordsman fighting against eachother with or a whole army of players attacking a castle (some things might be spelled wrong)
 
Unfortunately with my internet connection, I won't be able to Mount a horse. So I hope they have Lan support.
 
Just downloaded Sword of Damocles v.4 mod. Brilliant, lots of Kingdom managment options. A whole new game for me, and 50mb download!

I am going to try get a local server going for Mount & Blade - Fire & Sword.
