Maybe he dislikes America interfering in other countries.
He does, but people didn't like what the Nazis did, that doesn't make WW2 movies BS, no?

watch the movie Sleepers (1996) last night - 2nd watch - still brilliant
check cast.....

R de Niro
Brad Pitt
Dustin Hoffman
Kevin Bacon
Minie Driver

I like the movie even though I don't like Jaimie Fox.

Agree with both those points :)

Harry Potter And TDH: 7/10 - I would've rated it higher (as I secretly really like these movies), but I couldn't shake the feeling that it was broken into 2 movies just to make as much money out of it as they could. It was still a good movie though and I look forward to the final installment.

Last night it was "Post-Apocolyptic Movie Night" for me!

The Road - was great, 7/10 (Very depressing movie though)
Children of Men - also 7/10

Prince of Persia: Sands of Time 8/10
I enjoyed it very much ,got a feeling they messed with the story tho, (never played the game)

Enemy at the Gate: 7.5/10
really good story and portrayal of the battle of Stalingrad, only messed up thing was that all the actors had english accents :-/

Public Enemies: 8/10 - A true story about bank robber John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) and the pursuit of him by Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale). I would guess it was Hollywooded (I know it's not a real word) up but it made for a great 1930's gangster-type movie.

Never Back Down: 8/10 - A fight-club type movie where anyone can fight anyone in "sanctioned" fights. It was a bit cheesy, being largely predictable, but still a good movie with a great soundtrack. It revolves around a kid who constantly gets into fights - it would seem he is antangonised - moving to a new school to accomodate his younger brother. His previous encounter has been broadcast on the net so he enters the school almost a hero... until he meets the current champ.

Batman: Under the Red Hood 8/10 - My 3rd favorite Batman film. Dimaggio was actually good as the Joker. He managed to pull off the laugh.

Fanboys 3/10 - Trash. Trust me all those in-jokes and cameo-spotting are not worth it. They didn't even use the official Star Wars theme (instead using a Jimmy Hart version) and official Federation insignia on the Trekkies. EDIT: It deserves a big thumbs up for actually using the word copacetic.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice - 8/10 : Keeping in mind that this is a Disney film, aimed at family viewing. I thoroughly enjoyed it. The actor that plays the apprentice is really funny. One of the few movies that I actually watched "The making of" part too.

Scott Pilgrim vs The World - 9/10 Hilarious, very clever wit and just new funnynes. The girl is gorgeous, but i think she should have done more.

RED 4/10 - uneventful and lacking substance. Has great cast, but they cant save the movie. just nothing there.

I second htat, it was on mnet i think. I watched it years ago and when I watched again now, it was intense. I felt more this time round, maybe i was too young last time to appreciate the drama

agreed, RED Was crap.

I got 30 mins in and wondered " should i even bother finishing this" - its bruce willis, morgan freeman and whole bunch of other great actors, thrown into an all too predictable " the bad guys just can't win" plot.

It's lame, i give it 2/10

Pandorum: 7/10 - A Event Horizon-esque type movie with Dennis Quad. Some of a ship's crew awake (prematurely) from some form of cryo-stasis to find they are not alone on their ship....

Cashback: 7.5/10 - A romantic comedy of sorts (you normally won't find me anywhere near these) based in the UK. A guy studying Arts goes through a breakup and as a result, can't sleep. He decides he needs to find a way to make time pass quicker as all he spends his waking moments thinking of is his now ex. Starts working in a supermarket in the "graveyard" shift as a means of getting "cash back" for his time awake. It is not a soppy movie, and pending your type of humour, quite funny. DON'T watch with kids around...

I loved cashback. The narration is brilliant. also swede walk from the bathroom to her room was life confirming!

The American - 7.5/10 (2010) quite slow movie, italian prostitute is damn good naked, some very good scenes of her. no real action, but a relational movie.
