Jurassic World (2015) - 7/10
It definitely lacks the awe and charm of the first one. There wasn't even much of a buildup to revealing the I. Rex, nothing like seeing the first Brachiasaurus and Dr. Grant finding out about the T. Rex in JP. How much me being 7-years old when watching the first one influences this, I can't be sure. There were some nice touches of nostalgia, notably when the two kids find the original visitor's centre and the famed JP theme sound is played in the back ever so softly. The inner child in me was also happy that the T. Rex was restored as the king of lizards as I never forgave them for allowing the Spinosaur to kill it.

I did miss the animatronics, they helped the original feel real. The film is certainly over-the-top at times, but turns out to be a solid sci-fi action adventure with nice touches of nostalgia.
I do think there is some accuracy within the film though. I think that if something like this was possible it would most certainly be blown up to epic proportions and be heavily commercialised, with Jake Johnson's sarcastic quip that the naming rights to dinosaurs be sold to companies not being all that outrageous. I think it is a good analogy for the world we live in.
