Knock Knock (2015, Reeves) - 5/10

90% of the movie - excellent, somewhat erratic and wild but good.

Ending, terrible, a zero. What a letdown.

The Walking Deceased (2015) 2/10

As the name implies this is a spoof of TWD & it's garbage. Beyond stupid & pointless...don't waste your time.

Inside Out 7/10

Quite harrowing in some places but not too preachy.

What we Did On Our Holiday 7/10

I'm seldom disappointed by a UK Lottery funded movie and this one was no exception.

Starring an aging Billy Connolly, the kids are the real treat in this one. Poignant and funny in equal parts.

Southpaw (2015) 7.5/10

Has a fair number of Rocky elements but kept me entertained the full 2hrs. Stellar performance from Jake Gyllenhaal who I don't especially like that much. Better than expected. Oh & Rachel McAdams has a "hot" role & looks the part as oppose to her girly girl roles in many of her other movies.

Been meaning to give that a watch.

Deathgasm - 7/10 ........ NZ indie that is actually not bad if you take it for what it is. I actually knew metalheads like that years ago, lol :D

Pixels 5/10. Hot pixel chick is the only saving grace and a very lovely looking Michelle Monayhan. Dinklage can be a brilliant dramatic actor but he chooses to work with Adam Sandler in shyte like this. Sad.

Man Up (2015) 7/10

Better than expected British Romcom with funny guy Simon Pegg. Some funny laughs. Extra points for the super neat 2-door E30.

Momentum (2015) 5/10

Action heist thriller; entirely shot in Cape Town. I really really tried to like it as I'm proudly Pro-CPT but really it was crappy. The extremely cheesy lines; the story; the way it was implemented.

Hollywood movie with budget of $20-mill & the outcome was poor.

Even Olga Kurylenko who I like; failed...

Some points:

Nice scene here...that's pretty much as good as it gets.

Colin Moss was totally rubbish

And so was this dude that stars in many of the local soapies...just trying too hard

Yeah yeah...Cape Town

Baddie was played by Joe from <The Following>; playing same type of character from there in this movie.

The Cape Town setting was lovely & there is some okay action & car chase scenes.

Oh & we hear some Afrikaans & Xhosa dialogue in the background.

In a nutshell had potential but failed.
