Is that still haunting me? I revise my opinion if a review helps me to see something I hadn't appreciated or noticed before on first watching. It doesn't mean I'm a slave to critical opinion.

Had that experience reading some of Stephen Lloyd Wilson's stuff Pajiba...guy writes beautifully.

I asked the same question a few weeks back. :D

and what was his reply?

...it's a regular movie fiesta over at his place.

Sorry.

He never answered. Was busy watching a movie :p

I can't remember. :p

:D

Hehe...you guys crack me up.

I love my movies hey; don't have a huge catalogue of series that I watch on a weekly basis. I find it an excellent form of escapism.

I'm fairly flexible in my working times which a perk as well...

I try & do at least 1 movie a night & up to 3 on days off but lately I've been getting a mouthful from the vrou; you know how it goes; so I'll have to cut back...a notch

I've watch so many this yr & I still have a list of 50 odd waiting for me to go through...

Proper #FirstWorldProblems guys

No Escape - 8/10

Great thriller! Actually a terrifying ride from beginning to end. I have to admit that at some point I almost decided to skip to the end to see what happened.

Slow West - 7/10

So yes, it's a Slow Western but worth the journey.

Would guys agree that the Western genre; arguably a dying breed; is making a come back with movies like Slow West & Bone Tomahawk?

I have the latter; never watched it yet.

The westerns that are being made are generally very good, just very few of them since say, Unforgiven.

True Grit comes to mind, also 3.10 to Yuma and The Salvation.

:wtf:
Stunt driver molesting the **** out of the M3, or if you must... Ethan Hunt molesting the **** out of the M3. But not ole Tommie Cruise believe me. :)

According to the producers, Cruise did all his own stunts including the driving. Google behind the scenes or something.

The Western never really goes away. There's always a few movies released yearly and some can be very good. Breaking Bad was arguably a form of Western.

Nope.
Might make a comeback with the Westworld TV series which I suspect will do for westerns what Game of Thrones did for Medieval.

Tomorrowland (2015) 7/10

Good story; good message; top CGI. Still think it's aimed for a more younger audience & was too long but definitely worth a watch.
