It's a nice watch. Nothing substantial, but a good time.

I don't really care about Allen's films as a whole. I like some and am okay with others. Some I don't like.

Seconded. There's a gentle charm there that you're either in the mood for or not.

I actually disagree, sort of. I think there is substance, it's just a different kind. For example, Midnight in Paris portrays the value of simple joys, and embracing your passion for something.

Why didn't you like it?

Firstly that ridiculous Russian accent. Then the clown car car-chase with the slapstick elements. Terrible acting, especially by Armie Hammer who should stick to animation voice overs. A terrible script and no discernable plot.

I suppose. It's very light on what substance there is, probably because of the lack of subtlety in some characters.

The Little Prince - 6/10. Major disappointment to me. Limp, dull and only peripherally related to the original story. It felt like two films squashed uncomfortably into one, and the new material obviously has nothing of the storytelling power and strangeness of the original. I wish they'd dwelt much longer on the beautiful paper-mache stop motion renderings of the book, which worked very well.

Fantastic Four (2015) 3.5/10

Yes after all the exceptionally poor reviews of this reboot I thought I would watch it to see what all the fuss is about. Its crap; there is no 2 ways about it. Poor story; cheesy lines; poor character development; its actually downright boring for a Marvel movie & its just over 1h30min....yet it still drags...big time.

It still not the worse movie I have seen this yr though that would go to movies like: Oliver, Stoned; The Walking Deceased; Bikini Model Academy.

The 2005 Fantastic Four is a relative masterpiece compared to this turd.

Yup...watch the Honest Trailer of this garbage....

Ant-Man (2015) 7/10

An expectedly enjoyable Marvel movie...beats the pants off that last crap called Fantastic Four. Lovely work from Paul Rudd; very likable in his role as well young & old Michael Douglas. Enjoyed the story; witty dialogue & good humour seals the deal for me. Certainly worth a watch. Sequel out in July 2018.

Spectre (2015) 10/10

If you are looking for an all out action movie, this is not it. If you prefer the wise cracking James Bond action/comedy style, this is not it.

This is an excellent Daniel Craig style James Bond movie that concludes the arc started in Casino Royale. Pacing is slower but there is plenty of action. That car; love

I gave this 10/10 for excellent story progression, well played characters and pacing that is perfect for this kind of story.

Spectre (2015) - 6/10

Meh..

But, as a real James Bond fan, as intended by Ian Flemming - 2/10

I hope they will now end this franchise.

Criminal Activities (2015) 6.5/10

"Four young men make a risky investment together that puts them in trouble with the mob." Decent action watch; bit of a twist at the end. Good to see John Travolta back in top form.
