I also hate it when people have their own opinions and tastes.
 
I watched "The Call" last night. 7.5/10.

I think that it is quite good. Halle Berry, works as one of the call center agents at 911 and uses one of the victims of a kidnapping to track a serial killer that murdered a previous victim 6 months prior to the current investigation.

This thread is useless for anyone expecting decent honest reviews so that they can make up their minds on whether to watch the movie.

I do not think that there is anything wrong with people giving their own opinions on movies. Taste differs.

However, I do get a good indication when the majority of people agrees more or less on one movie. Also I easily identify people who have more or less the same taste than I have on movies and tend to follow their recommendations and comments. There are already quite a few people on this forum whose posts I tend to keep up with.

I get what you are saying,still makes my blood boil when ppl give outstanding reviews to a p.o.s movie :)
What did you think of WWZ and RIPD?
 
I find that, the more people agree to one movie being good, the easier it is for me to make my decision to watch it or not.

I have quite a lot of movies at home, and I am not sure which of those is complete rubbish, like "The Science of Sleep" for example. This thread helps me decide what I can delete before I waste my time watching it going on blind faith.

What critics like, and what fans like, are often very different. It's very rare that both will like the same thing, unless it's an extraordinary movie. If you want to be a student of the fine arts, eat truffles, sip wine, and take it up the ass then that's fine - but don't push it as fact. This thread is for everyday people who watch movies for the entertainment factor, not as a piece of art.
 
People keep on telling me awesome "Now you see me" was :wtf:
Sharknado Biggest piece of crap ever and still I loved it I LMFAO and by the time it was finished I wanted more. Watch it with lots of friends and beers and make a reaction video 10/10

So I must check reviews before I post reviews in case they don't match up...

As far as "top reviews" go... 6's and 7's are not top reviews unless your standards are pretty low.

<5 means I stoppped watching it... after 10 minutes it gets a 1, after 30 minutes it gets a 2...etc

Firstly i am a huge zombie movie fan and everything gets compared to Romero's work(the father of zombie movies)?
When i count the amount of ppl that give World War Z a rating higher than 5 compared to the ppl who think its ****e, there is overwhelming support for this movie,compared to what the rest of the world is saying.

Secondly, you seem to be classifying WORLD War Z as a art movie?:wtf: I dont know how you came to that conclusion.Did you find world war z entertaining? It wouldn't surprise me coming from you, a person who is fascinated by anal sex and big cox.:love:

Nope, you attempted to classify it as art by bringing critical reviews into it ;) Because they never focus on entertainment, but various other factors, most of which the average person couldn't care less about. My point is that critical reviews and fans reviews are often not the same thing.

I too wasn't happy with certain aspects of the movie, the lack of gore for one. But on the whole, it was pretty entertaining.

Ok cool, just guess im not average.I fell asleep 3 times on 3 different nights trying to watch World War Z lol
The graphics and cgi were spot on, albeit too little for my liking.The ending was terrible.The plot was laughable.I amped myself up so much for this budget breaking movie.Man i cant wait till Walking dead starts again.I get quite cranky when im deprived of good zombie flix.I apologise.

Agreed, in WWZ the zombies were on screen for split seconds at a time, where as Walking dead its slower and you get to actually see them.
