Terminator Genisys (2015) 8/10

Damnit I enjoyed this. The right amount of nostalgia. Sarah is better and hotter with a gun, than with a dragon. I just loved this movie!

No man. On second viewing I give it a 6/10.

Third Person - 6/10.
Good actors and acting.
A little confusing.

Minions - 6.5/10
Entertaining. Nothing more. Nothing spectacular or artistic. But it could have been done better.

Jurassic World - 7.5/10
Good but not great. Second best Jurassic movie after the original Jurassic Park.
Too much forced family drama. (ok, a little bit of it, but it felt forced and clichéd) The movie is also a bit predictable.
Good fun entertainment all round though.

The Colony - 3/10

Mediocre movie about a post apocalyptic world where humans are surviving against the elements. Very slow and boring start. Picks up pace later on once the survivors meet the cannibal/zombie/crazies. This is the only excitement. Then ends abruptly with several loose ties.
Avoid.

Harbinger down - 3/10

An Alien-wannabe-movie. By the director that brought us Aliens vs Predator and it even stars "Bishop" from Aliens.
The aliens or rather monster/creatures are laughable and some of the worst I have seen in a movie. The special effects are pathetic as well as the directing and overall quality. What a waste of time. Life is too short for bad movies like this.

Was in no hurry to watch Chappie since I hate Die Antwoord.

However after watching the movie I have to give it a 7 / 10. Sure the story has plenty of holes, but the South African twist was enjoyable for me.

Goes off to watch District 9 again.

You kidding? I love those feckers. Obviously you don't go into a movie about the minions expecting a great plot... :p

The Hundred Foot Journey - 7/10. Pleasant sort of foodie movie with plenty of gestures towards food appreciation but not enough actual food, and more of a tolerance message and not enough central conflict to satisfy.

Kill Me Three Times (2015) 7/10

Really; unexpectedly; enjoyed this one. Aussie dark comedy involving lots of killing & Simon Pegg. By nature of it being an Aussie movie it comes with all the Aussie; charming; quirks. If you want a left-field movie that does not require any thinking this is it.

Ant-man. 7.5/10. Fun super-hero movie that doesn't take itself too seriously but still packs in a decent amount of action and generous lashings of humour.

Laggies (2014) 6/10

Average; generic sort of coming of age movie with Keira Knightley.

Infini (2015) 5/10

Another Aussie movie; this one Sci-Fi thriller; passable.

Survivor (2015) 6/10

Crime thriller do with Visa entries; double crossing & such. Pierce Brosnan has aged since his Bond days & Milla Jovovich looks the same.

Little Boy (2015) - 6/10

A feel good movie about a little boy who will do anything to get his father back from War.

The Voices (2014) 7/10

Ryan Reynolds plays the "likable serial killer" in this very dark (horror) comedy. Proper voice acting from him as well as the cat & dog. Strongly advised if you are a fan of dark comedies.

True Story (2015) 6/10

Movie showed promise but ultimately fails; Jonah Hill & James Franco in s serious role is also hard to believe in this instance.

MI5.
7/10
Expected more. Previous 2 installments were better.
Some decent action, but not as great as expected.
Cruise getting old now, but still on good shape to perform those stunts

Antman - 8/10
A decent Marvel installment.
They should have explained his powers more. What he can and cannot do.
More character build up wud have been good
