Any Idea how long it takes to move your ADSL line from Mwed back to Telkom or perhaps to Afrihost?

mweb moves it to telkom as soon you cancel , then afrihost take it over takes up to 14 days.

I did this move few years back to webafrica , was never disconnected , just had pay telkom pro rata for the adsl while it was at telkom.

Hi Vl@d

The line can be migrated back to Telkom within a couple of days, depending on their workloads.
As hereticangel said, Telkom would bill you pro rata for the period that the line is with them.

Hi Mweb Guy.

Jumping in on this post. I cancelled my Mweb Account (+Migrate Line to Telkom) on the 23rd of Oct. The Cancellation was confirmed on the 27th of Oct and, in line with 30 days, ends 1 December 2013. Will the line migration only begin on 1 December, or has that already started?

Thanks.

Hi XperiAnce,

I speak under correction but I think it will only happen closer to the end of the month.
That way it is submitted in a bulk batch to Telkom and should be completed by the last day of November.

Don't really want to move but since everything is getting more expensive a few rands saved could be nice especially if Telkom brought down pricing.
Just a pitty Mweb still had no reply to the reduction in fees which makes think Mweb is only there for the money they can make and not to add a competitive priced rpoduct like a few years back.
