So im in the market for a new MP3 player. Looking for something in the 2-4 GB range but it must have an SD slot for expansion. Anyone have any ideas?

i have a Yes mp4 it may not be a brand name but it is touch screen with video, mp3,radio and ebook it also has a memory card slot.

Sounds decent. Where did you get it from as I have looked on digital planet and on wantitall and cant see the yes brand ones anywhere.

Man the Zen does look good. Only reason I wasnt thinking of the Zen is that the only place I found one was on wantitall and they a bit expensive due to the import thing.

mine was hi fi crp for R800 something its 2 gig and at the moment have another 1 gig card in.

My advice is don't get a no-name MP3 player even if it's a bit cheaper. I've been burned so many times that way. Rather spend the little bit extra for something that is a respectable name and will last. I have no complaints about the Zen.

Also Have2have have a good deal on the Sandisk Sansa players, which are SD expandable.

Cowon A3 has a 4 inch 800by480 res screen, 16.7 million colours, excellent contrast.
The player itself works with Macs and PCs. It can also connect to cameras via
USB and offload pics. It can read RAW, BMP and JPG files, with no size limitations.
60 and 30GB versions available. I have one and swear by it! :)

i know 2 people that bought phillips mp4,s and both had problems with their machines i have had mine of almost a year now and not one problem.

wow 800X480? That's very impressive. But it's like R4,000. yikes.

I agree that the COWON (iAudio) media players are awesome - my GF has a small one that is like an IPOD shuffle...

The COWON players have excellent sound quality!
