MP3 Players

See, if you want a full-on PMP then that Cowon is definitely awesome. But it's totally out of my price range and it's more than I need really. And the thread was really asking about a 2-4gb little take-it-to-the-gym-and-Pick-N-Pay-and-beach player.

Then I'd go for the iAudio U2 or U3. My GF has the U2, and it is a bit thicker than a bic lighter - internal battery charges via USB, and lasts for ages. Sound quality is very good - we just changed the earphones with aren't that good.

iaudio is nice definitely for the price. It really comes down to what you're willing to pay and what you need it for. I've found that having the ability to watch video on the Zen at a good enough quality (actually fantastic for the size) is a superb feature.

Do you guys know if a player called the Onda vx777 is any good?

haven't heard of it before but it looks promising. Touchscreen PMP, relatively cheap pricing. I would be worried about buying an MP3 player from a brand I'd never heard of before though.

No, that brand works fine, I've tested a earlier, cheaper version

Aloha. I was looking for a cheapo mp3 player that I could just take with me for company, and came across a no-name brand for dirt cheap. It's supposed to be Chinese wholesale, and I can't fine much info on them. If you search bidorbuy.co.za for 'mp3 8gb' you'll see them. The seller is Azansi mp3 I think. Can anyone tell me something about these players? Thanks

They are OK, I just purchased one last week for a 4GB MP3 player with 2.4" Screen, The Mp3 player has an SD slot if you want to upgrade your memory, I paid R348 for it, including shipping costs, the quality is generally good, and don't be fooled by Brandmaniacs, branded or unbranded, a bulk of Mp3 players are from Asia.

So if you want to save money, by yourself a one, and then get yourself decent headsets.

hi there
I just got myself a sansa fuze 2gb and i'm loving it! now i am just looking to upgrade the earphones... i am on a student budget so i cant spend much. can any1 tel me which is better between the jvc marshmallows, the griffin tunebuds, the v-moda bass freq, and the seinheiser cx300's? any other suggestions will also be welcome.

i mostly listen to rock music, alternative rock, punk rock, (seether, 12 stones, breaking benjamin) so i enjoy a deep thumping bass, but am just looking for generally good all round sound at a good price.

hope u can help!
