MTN 5G is here - Prices and coverage

-None in Durban, but Free State gets.
-Low cap numbers on data with 100 to 500 GB makes no sense
-smallest coverage in that area
-contract based
-uncapped has FUP...

Yeah this is even worse than my expectations, and they were low. I still think mtn has one of the best networks though.

"MTN 5G is here - and why you should Avoid it" would have been more contextual.

Am happy MTN has coverage in Bloem it shows MTN is committed to cover limited areas in all 9 province's in near future, unlike Vodacom who will prioritize Metropolitan cities like Johannesburg, Tshwane, Cape Town and Durban only for next 3 years.
MTN pricing is still too much but least they tried to be competitive with Rain and Vodacom 5G offers especially the fact that MTN chose to have unlimited/uncapped plan which is not really uncapped
But it showcase MTN is committed to be competitive
I think MTN will use coverage rapidly roll out plan to have more 5G subscribers than Rain and Vodacom

You can get 20-50Mb uncapped from most of the areas covered by 5G for R900.

Keep it you naaiers.

These 36 months contracts nowadays. How do you only get a sim at that prices, meaning you have to buy a router or have a 5G capable cellphone. Clearly not for the general population.
