MTN Airtime transfer

I have tried doing this through this method:

*141*6328*(recipient's cellphone number)*(rand amount)# to do an instant transfer.

Yet it says I have insufficient funds yet I have more than enough, anyone know any other method?

Thread necro alert. What can I do with the 3k airtime on my contact when I go to prepaid? Can I downgrade my contact and keep using the airtime till it runs down then go to prepaid?

if you 3k airtime is from inclusive credit you get via a topup contract...sorry, no way you gonna get the cash for it from MTN.....I rarely have to make a phone call, get free sms...and afrihost provides my mobile data..--I am on a top R210...I donate to good causes via premium sms service, only way I prevent losing the accumulated airtime.
